by Charles Spurgeon

One of the best books God used during my recovery is this Charles Spurgeon devotional titled Morning and Evening. It is available in most Christian book stores and even in some mainline secular book retailers.

The Fire of Delayed Answers

by Bob Sorge

God taught me through this book the reasons for suffering and why He sometimes delays healing us. Sorge was a song leader in a local church in the early ’90s when a medical treatment for a cyst on his larynx went horribly wrong. He lost his voice to the point of having to whisper painfully to even speak. He still waits for healing while continuing to minister faithfully, more than 18 years later.
