Morning and Evening - by Charles Spurgeon One of the best books God used during my recovery is this Charles Spurgeon devotional titled Morning and Evening. It is available in most Christian book stores and even in some mainline secular book retailers.

Feeling Good – by David Burns A Christian counselor gave me this book which God used to show me ways to manage worry, sleepless nights, compulsive habits and the anxiety that plagued me.
|
Wild at Heart – by John Eldredge
I found it’s ok to want to ride a motorcycle alone
across the country, and then actually go and do it.
Several times… | |

Tender Warrior – by Stu Weber Weber is a Green Beret combat veteran who got his wakeup call in Vietnam. He calls men to action with practical ways to balance the hard edges of a man with the softer graces that God desires in His warriors.
|
The Fire of Delayed Answers – by Bob Sorge God taught me through this book the reasons for suffering and why He delays healing us. Sorge was a song leader in a local church in the early 90’s when a medical treatment for a cyst on his larynx went horribly wrong and he lost his voice to the point of having to whisper painfully to even speak. He still waits for healing while continuing to minister faithfully, 15 years or so later.
